Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
I painted this view of spectacular Monument Valley National Monument on a "wide screen" canvas (36 x 12) in an attempt to capture the drama of the landscape. I began this painting on location.
Monument Valley is on Navajo land on the boarder of Utah and Arizona. It has been the backdrop of many movies, including John Ford's "Stagecoach" with John Wayne.
For added drama and contrast I painted a bald eagle landing. The original oil painting continues on to the 1 in. sides and is SOLD!!
This dramatic panorama of this magnificent location would work well as wall art, on canvas or metal, and would fit many decors. A print also would make a great gift!
About Jerome Stumphauzer
I am a self-taught artist and have been painting in oils for many years. At the same time my photography has developed following the same principles of composition and color. Much of my work has a "save the environment" theme and my inspiration comes from nature and visions of light and color. My interest in art began in the 5th grade with a remarkable teacher who, along with all the other subjects, made time for art and music every day.
