During a morning walk after a night of rain I came across this wonderful flower in a neighbor's yard, and took this macro shot of the raindrops on the flower. Hope you like it! Please also see my "Lily After The Rain" image here.

About Jerome Stumphauzer
I am a self-taught artist and have been painting in oils for many years. At the same time my photography has developed following the same principles of composition and color. Much of my work has a "save the environment" theme and my inspiration comes from nature and visions of light and color. My interest in art began in the 5th grade with a remarkable teacher who, along with all the other subjects, made time for art and music every day. Thank you all! I was told this magnificent flower (about 1 1/4 in. across) is a native of South Africa. It is often used for landscape gardens in Southern California, which I know has a similar climate. Jerome
