Artist's Description
I took this photo of an Acacia Tree at sunset a long time ago -- while on a camera safari in East Africa (Kenya and Tanzania).
We were headed back to the game lodge and I insisted the driver stop for this scene. Please view my three Africa oil paintings in my Portfolio here: "Endangered," "The Kiss" and "Giraffe Looking Back."
This photo Won 2nd place in a Fine Art Contest "Sunrises and Sunsets!"

About Jerome Stumphauzer
I am a self-taught artist and have been painting in oils for many years. At the same time my photography has developed following the same principles of composition and color. Much of my work has a "save the environment" theme and my inspiration comes from nature and visions of light and color. My interest in art began in the 5th grade with a remarkable teacher who, along with all the other subjects, made time for art and music every day. I am influenced by a diverse group of artists who have come before me -- from da Vinci and Dali to Monet and Lassen. This website has helped me reach an audience all over the world.
