Artist's Description
This is my photo of Venice Beach at sunset, taken from the Venice Pier -- looking up the bay through Venice, Santa Monica and the Coast Highway (lights) up toward Malibu.
I could see it was a remarkable evening and the colors were amazing, went home for the camera and captured this digital photo. I have done two oil paintings based on this photo; one was commissioned (see my "Santa Monica Bay Sunset."
The Original being offered is a stretched canvas (16 x 24 x 1.5 in.), Signed, ready to hang for $145..

About Jerome Stumphauzer
I am a self-taught artist and have been painting in oils for many years. At the same time my photography has developed following the same principles of composition and color. Much of my work has a "save the environment" theme and my inspiration comes from nature and visions of light and color. My interest in art began in the 5th grade with a remarkable teacher who, along with all the other subjects, made time for art and music every day.
